How House of Oshun came to be.. 

In front of a fireplace have always been my happy place. The warmth of the flame, the sound of the wood crackling as it burned, the smell of the fire or the pine cones that burned with the wood. It always gave a comforting and cozy feel. The feeling that no matter how the day had been, I could be at peace and relax and enjoy my surroundings. Candles, to me, are an extension of that feeling to a degree. It's like a mini fireplace at a fraction of the price, but it can still provide the peace and serenity needed after a long day. Lighting the woodwick was akin to lighting a log and when the wax melted and the scent was released in the air, you could sit back, relax and be taken to your happy place.

A bit about our company

The company name is inspired by the Nigerian Yoruba Goddess, Oshun, commonly associated with a variety of attributes such as water, beauty and luxury. At House of Oshun we strive to create a mood through a variety of our scents.

Our candle waxes are made from renewable, sustainable resources that are biodegradable and free from pesticides and herbicides. Our fragrances are extensively tested for excellent performance with our waxes, room sprays and perfumes and are free from phthalates, carcinogens, toxins and other hazardous chemicals.
